Discourses on Deep Sustainability

Join Dharma teacher Catherine Pawasarat in Calgary, Alberta for a weekend exploration of “Planetary Awakening”. Catherine will cover such questions as:

• What needs to shift for humans to live in balance and harmony with the planet?
• How can we support this process in our day to day lives?
• How does the concept of sustainability translate to our mind states?

Green Tara Initiation

Catherine will also give a Green Tara Initiation (Wongkur) in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.  Green Tara is the female Bodhisattva or archetype of enlightened activity, and related to mother nature, plants, animals and the eco-system in which we live. The initiation is a celebration in itself, and also provides an energetic transmission upon which one can develop mantra and visualization practice.

Sunday: 10am-12pm – with a Green Tara Wongkur (please arrive by 9:30am).

Course Fees:

Dāna (generosity) + $80 Organization Fee for whole weekend. (or $30 per session)

The teachings and guidance are given freely by Catherine Sensei according to the practice of dāna. “Dāna” is a Sanskrit and Pali word meaning “generosity” or “giving,”. Through our cultivation of dāna, we leave habitual states of mental poverty behind and steadily grow a reality of psychological, spiritual and thus material richness. The Dharma Hub charges an $30 fee per day to cover other costs for organising and hosting the event. Thank You.
