Mexico Dharma Trip 2019

February 22, 2019 - March 4, 2019

Dharma Trip 2019: Travel while Awakening in 2019

We’re very excited to reintroduce our tradition of Dharma Trips! Join us for this locally connected, ecologically-minded voyage through beautiful Chiapas.

This trip is open to existing students or participants of previous retreats and courses led by Doug Duncan and Catherine Pawarasat.

These ten days in Chiapas, Mexico can count as one week-long retreat for the Year of Pureland Diamond and Ruby levels.

Dharma Trips are an exciting, challenging, and inspiring way to speed up your spiritual and personal unfoldment. They involves the unparalleled crucible-like combination of awakening minds, foreign lands, and the Triple Gem packed into a moving van. Join us for unfoldment and a once-in-a-lifetime dharma experience. And shorten your winter.

Why a Dharma Trip?

On this trip you will have an opportunity to study with Doug & Catherine Sensei while traveling. Dharma trips are rich opportunities to push our boundaries and observe how we are without our usual environmental and habitual supports.  Traveling with the teachers and fellow sangha members provides wonderful opportunities to challenge and support our growth.

Specific Activities

San Christobal dharma tripOn this trip we will explore ancient Mayan ruins, swim in beautiful rivers and waterfalls, explore pristine jungles, take a boat ride through a 3500 foot deep canyon, visit a local project to protect the endangered Scarlet Macaw, and experience the diverse indigenous cultures and museums in and around the beautiful city of San Cristobal.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to spend time with the teachers and the sangha. Dharma travelers will receive precious teachings in beautiful and exotic locations, and stretch our comfort levels to open to new experiences.
