SUMMARY:As the Spirit Moves 2027
DESCRIPTION:As the Spirit Moves\n Online or In-Person | July 10-11\, 2027\n Expect the unexpected! How will the Spirit move? This weekend is an offering of raw Dharma from the Teacher. You get to show up and experience epic Dharmic teachings\, without a particular predetermined subject. Be ready for anything and everything Dharma. Unforeseen\, undetermined\, unregulated. No seatbelts allowed. \n OverviewRegistration\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n As the Spirit Moves\nA Tradition Born from Spontaneous Teaching\nThis retreat honors a tradition started by Qapel (Acariya Doug Duncan)\, one of Planet Dharma’s founding teachers. Qapel created this offering as a space for spontaneous teachings—whatever the teacher feels is most important to share at this particular time\, in this particular place\, with these particular beings. \nIn the past\, people “showed up” for Dharma teachings\, regardless of topic. The teachings given were inspired by the energy of the people there. Qapel used to say that he would go to a class of his Teacher\, Namgyal Rinpoche\, even if he were just reading a phone book! The Spirit of Dharma… it moves! \nSo\, are you ready to join Catherine Pawasarat Sensei for an eclectic weekend of “old school” style Dharma teachings? Wisdom invites you to learn on the path of riding the dragon\, come what may. \nAs you are well aware\, life is a great big journey into the unknown\, a Dharmic odyssey. This weekend is the same! Come to soak in Dharmic teachings from Catherine Sensei\, have fun\, and learn more about how to be the kind of being you want to be. As Bodhisattvas\, we keep on diving into learning how to be of service and help alleviate the suffering of beings. It’s an amazing ride\, and every opportunity to dive into the depth of Dharma is a precious one. How do we know what we need to hear—and when we hear it\, will we listen? There’s only one way to find out. \nTake a leap of faith. Join the Teacher. Join the spirit of integral evolution. We dare you! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Meet the Teacher\n \n \n \n \n \n Catherine Pawasarat Sensei \nCatherine Pawasarat Sensei is a contemporary Dharma teacher\, attendant\, consort\, co-teacher via Planet Dharma and co-founder of Clear Sky Retreat Center. In addition to Buddhist philosophy and its applications to daily life\, Catherine also draws on generative living and universal spiritual tools including transpersonal astrology and Japanese arts. \nShe trained daily with Acariya Doug Duncan from 1998 until his passing in 2024\, in an intensive spiritual apprenticeship that is rare in the modern West. She received lay ordination from Namgyal Rinpoche in 2003. \nMore About Sensei | About the Lineage\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Course Details\n \nTime and Location\nAs the Spirit Moves will be led by Catherine Pawasarat Sensei at Clear Sky Meditation Center in Eastern BC. This course is offered in-person with an online option for those not in Western Canada. \nSchedule / Class Times\nClasses will be 60-90 mins in duration\, with classes in the morning and evening and possibly the afternoon each day (Mountain Time) – the exact schedule to be confirmed. Please ensure you are available for the whole weekend to focus on the course material and attend classes live. \nOnline participants\nare expected to attend classes live. We will arrange class times to be comfortable for most time zones. However we understand that some class times might occur after midnight in some regions\, if this is the case for you\, please let us know when you register. Then we can provide a recording so you can catch up on that particular class. \nWhat Does the Course Cost?\nIn-Person Participants: 1) dāna to the Teacher plus 2) accommodation and meal costs for your stay Clear Sky Meditation Centre. \nOnline Participants: 1) dāna to the Teacher 2) online administration fee of $150 CAD. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About DānaAbout the Online Admin Fee\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n You may have come across this elsewhere in the form of “pay from the heart”. Dāna is a Sanskrit term meaning “generosity”. With dāna\, we give as a mutual exchange of generosity. It’s our joy to offer this course\, and we trust you’ll match our time\, energy\, and passion by giving an amount of money that feels good and healthy to both you and us. \nThe dharma has been built on generosity. No-one is excluded for lack of funds but it is also extremely beneficial to give as much as you are able \nTypically people give in a range of $120-$500 USD for a course. \nAs we’re committed to ensuring everyone has access to the Dharma\, please feel comfortable to give less if you are not financially secure.  Another form of giving dāna is to offer service\, and if you are interested in providing support in a non-financial way\, we invite you to contact us. \nConversely\, if you are financially secure\, we invite you to generate merit by providing more financial support to the Triple Gem. Contributions like these make the difference in supporting our teachers\, teachings\, and center. \nLearn more about the practice of dāna here.\n \n \n \n \n \n In a traditional model of in-person teachings\, a retreat center or urban meditation center invites teachers to visit. In these cases the centers have infrastructure and organization costs to cover\, which might be covered by an admin fee. For the teaching itself\, dāna to the teachers is offered in a bowl. This honors both the sustainability of the teachers\, and of the supporting center. \nWe’ve tried to recreate this approach online. The teachers’ time and the teaching themselves are offered on the basis of dāna\, separate to the admin fee. With our dāna offering we are making a direct gift of generosity to the teachers to support their teachings and livelihood. \nThe admin fee goes to support the infrastructure and organization necessary to support them to teach. As anyone with an online business will know\, it can be surprising the costs of setting up a good infrastructure to support effective teaching and connection online. The admin fee changes based on date of registration. \n— \nBelow are a few of the work and benefits that your admin fee payment is supporting: \n\nhigh speed internet (to allow interviews and classes on-line)\nonline class systems (Zoom)\nregistration / admin systems (Eventbrite\, Basecamp)\ncommunication systems to keep everyone informed\, share connection details\, teachings and other resources (Mailchimp)\nonline storage (for example\, Dropbox\, to allow us to let students watch recordings\, and to store and share selected teachings in other forms such as podcasts and video later\, and Amazon cloud)\nquality sound\, video and editing equipment (both for live teachings and to provide good enough quality for later sharing as podcasts and video). We are regularly updating our equipment to improve your user experience.\nonline calendar booking system to allow students to book interviews\nwebsite hosting and maintenance for sharing upcoming courses\, teachings\, blogs and other resources.\n\nWe welcome any questions. May all our efforts be sustainable\, abundant and for the benefit of all beings! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Registration\nImportant: Please register early. Being in the same space with clear beings ‘tunes’ you to more wholesome states.\nWe create a welcoming environment and follow a supportive retreat schedule\, based on decades of hosting successful retreats worldwide.\nWholesome and delicious food is provided so you don’t have to spend time cooking for yourself.\nBreath-taking and restful\, natural environment puts your body and mind at ease and resets your nervous system.\nRetreating at our center gets you out of your usual home environment and routines – they can be distracting.\nRetreating with others (your co-retreatants) is incredibly supportive and energy building.\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n We work hard to support the online learning experience.\n \nWe have been delivering online offerings since 2012 and are always looking for new ways to optimize your experience.\nClasses are live-streamed and some recordings are available for a certain time.\nHD cameras and professional audio equipment provide high quality video streaming.\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What Do Previous Retreatants Say?\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n These are ancient teachings that I feel are important to understand if someone is serious about meditation. I appreciate Qapel and Sensei’s unrelenting perseverance to teach about the roots and traditions of these life changing practices. They explore the rich history with us and also deliver the material in a very understandable and relevant way. \nJenai LieuPsychology student\, CanadaWorking with Qapel and Sensei at the five day hero’s journey workshop was deeply impactful and has clarified not only my deepest heart’s desire\, but what I need to overcome to manifest it. They are extraordinary facilitators with a great depth of knowledge\, wisdom and presence to share. \nKira MacDuffeeM.Ed / RCCDoing karma yoga\, I watch how everyone gains new insights.  These many “a-ha moments” makes it clear to me that this type of active dharma training is a path that brings the modern spiritual explorer alive and moves them forward. \nDr. Duncan CrylePh.D IBM executive\, Clear Sky Accountability OfficerQapel and Sensei have consistently been honest\, accurate and candid with me. It has sometimes taken me years to admit my self-sabotaging blind spots. Clear and radical self-honesty liberates my sticky parts. Thank you to my master teachers for helping me free up all the energy knots – especially the ones created from unconscious patterning around money\, sex and power. \nEvangelos DiavolitsisMeditation Teacher and Coach\, Four Ways to Freedom. SUMMARY:The Somatic Line
DESCRIPTION:The Somatic Line\n Online Course \n Main Course: August 1\, 8 & 15\, 2027  \nFlash Retreat Weekend: August 21 & 22\, 2027 \nUsing Integral’s maps to study how we grow from the body out\, and practising it so it doesn’t stay a map\, with Catherine Pawasarat Sensei. \n Registration (Coming soon)\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n At-a-Glance\n \n \n \n \n \n				  \nDates & format: \n\n3 online classes (August 1\, 8 & 15)\nAn optional flash retreat weekend (August 21 & 22) online from home\, or at Clear Sky Center\n\nTime commitment: \n\nClasses are 90-minutes each (Sundays\, 9:30–11am Alberta Time)\nPlus time during the week to work on practical application (discretionary\, but at least 1 hour is recommended)\nOption to join a study group meeting once a week for 1 hour  \n\nCost: \n\nFor the 3-week course: Admin Fee + dāna to the Teacher\nFor the Flash Retreat Weekend: dāna only (no admin fee); in-person participants also cover accommodation and meals at Clear Sky Center.\nSee below for an explanation of dāna and for admin fee details\n\nPrerequisites: \n\nOpen to all backgrounds. No prior study of Integral theory is needed\nThe Body as Foundation online course (February 2027) is a natural lead-in\, but not required\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Why This Matters Now \n\nEach of us learned to live in a body long before we learned to think about one. As children we develop physical skills first. Then we become aware of other people and grow our emotional\, social and communication skills. Our mental faculties come later still. Body\, speech and mind: we grow from the body out. \nAs adults\, most of us live the other way round. A screen-centred\, heady life keeps us up in our thoughts\, and it’s more painful than we often notice. Even at a retreat centre surrounded by forest and mountains\, it’s remarkable how much time we can spend in our heads. A trip to the gym is a good start\, but it rarely changes where we actually live. \nIntegral theory offers some of the most comprehensive maps of human development we have\, and it openly acknowledges where it’s thinner: lived experience. This course turns Integral’s lens toward the body\, its least-charted ground\, and studies somatic development as the foundation our emotional and cognitive growth rest on. In the Namgyal lineage\, mapping and direct experience have always gone together. You’ll leave with a clearer map of how you’ve developed through the body\, and a felt sense of what it’s like to practise from there. The more we live in our bodies\, the more we enjoy life. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Who This Is For\n\nYou’ve studied Integral theory and want to know what it means to live it\, not only to understand it\nYou took The Body as Foundation in February 2027 and want to keep building on that ground\nYou have a body-based practice (yoga\, martial arts\, dance\, sport) and are curious how it fits into the wider picture of your development\nYou notice how much of your day happens from the neck up\, and you’d like your practice to reach the rest of you\nYou’re in a season of life with the bandwidth to take a body of work and actually work it\, between classes as well as during them\nYou’d love a summer weekend of practice at Clear Sky\, horses included\n\n  \nWhat You’ll Practice / Learn / Discover\nDevelopment from the body out. Explore how physical skills underpin emotional\, relational and cognitive growth\, using the body–speech–mind sequence and Integral’s developmental view as maps. \nStudying the body without leaving it. The obvious risk of studying somatics is turning it into one more concept. So this course leans on somatic exercises: in class\, between classes and throughout the flash retreat. Like a diver’s weight belt\, the exercises keep us from bobbing back up to the surface of our thoughts\, and Catherine Sensei will keep pointing us back to direct experience whenever the conversation drifts into theory. \nA less-mapped line of development. Integral describes many lines of development\, from cognitive to interpersonal. The somatic is among the least explored. As with our exploration of the emotional line in 2026\, we’ll chart this territory together through inquiry\, rather than receive a finished textbook answer. \nMoving between parts of yourself. A particular strength of the Namgyal lineage is integration: the facility to move between body\, feeling and thought\, rather than living in one and visiting the others. Practise that movement\, and notice what changes. \nIn person: learning from the horses. Horses respond to what’s happening in our bodies\, not to what we’re thinking. Being around them simply requires us to be embodied. On-site participants will work with Clear Sky’s horses during the flash retreat as a direct\, honest mirror for presence. \n  \nWhat’s Expected of Me\nThis course is an invitation to practise more than a survey of ideas. Its heart is in your body\, so the exercises between classes matter as much as the classes themselves. There’s no fixed number of hours; the care you bring to the home practices will shape what this course becomes for you. \nExpect to be pointed back to experience\, gently and often\, especially when the discussion drifts toward theory. The habit of floating up into concepts is one we all share\, and untangling it together is part of the work. \nClasses include breakout discussions. We invite you to bring your presence and support to one another\, so we can co-create a grounded space where everyone can stretch and grow. \nIf you’re joining the flash retreat at Clear Sky\, you’ll spend time outdoors and with horses. We’ll send practical details on what to wear and how the sessions run when you register. \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Meet the Teacher\n \n \n \n \n \n Catherine Pawasarat Sensei \nCatherine Pawasarat Sensei is a contemporary Dharma teacher\, attendant\, consort\, co-teacher via Planet Dharma and co-founder of Clear Sky Retreat Center. Catherine Sensei sees the three as flags planted in the ground. The Body as Foundation (February) began with Namgyal Rinpoche’s Body\, Speech and Mind\, now more widely available thanks to Bodhi Publishing. SUMMARY:AstroDharma 2027: Navigating Transits
DESCRIPTION:AstroDharma: Transits & Navigating Your Journey\n Online or In-Person | September 24-26\, 2027\n Every so often\, life seems to rearrange itself all at once. An old pattern flares up out of nowhere\, a season turns unexpectedly heavy\, or everything suddenly feels electric. And we’re left asking: what is going on? \nUsually there’s more at play than Mercury retrograde. Your natal chart shows the patterns you were born with. Transits show what’s moving through those patterns now\, as the planets’ current positions activate different parts of your chart. A Chiron return\, a second Saturn return\, a Uranus opposition\, Pluto crossing a sensitive point: something significant is nearly always unfolding for each of us. That’s humbling\, and it’s also good news\, because these are tools that can support us through life’s major teachings. \nJoin Catherine Sensei for a weekend learning to read the transits in your own chart: to make sense of what you’re going through now\, to look back at turning points in your life and see what was moving then\, and to support one another through these passages. \n OverviewRegistration\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n This course is for you if:\n\nYou want to study an astrological Dharmic framework with a wisdom teacher in the Namgyal lineage.\nYou know your natal chart a little and want to understand what’s happening in it now\, not only what it showed at birth\nYou’re in the middle of a major passage\, such as a Saturn return\, a Chiron return or a Uranus opposition\, and want to understand what it’s asking of you\nYou’d like to look back at the turning points of your life with fresh eyes\nYou’re part of a sangha and want to support one another through the transits each of you is going through (this course is really good for sanghas)\nYou want practical tools for working with timing and change\, beyond the horoscope headlines\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n You Know That Feeling When…\n  \n\nEverything seems to change at once and you can’t tell why\nAn old pattern you thought you’d outgrown suddenly returns\nA particular year of your life felt like a turning point\, and you’d love to understand what was happening\nSomeone told you “it’s your Saturn return” and you wondered what that actually means\nSomeone close to you is going through a hard passage and you want to know how to help\nYou sense that timing matters\, but you don’t know how to read it\nIf any of these resonate\, this course is for you.\n\n \nWhy Transits Matter\n  \nTransits are a different body of work from what we’ve explored in recent AstroDharma weekends. Natal-chart study shows the patterns we were born with. Transits show timing: which of those patterns are being activated\, when\, and how strongly. \nThis works in two directions. In the present\, it can turn “what is going on?” into a clearer sense of what this phase is asking of us and how to meet it. Looking back\, it can be remarkably illuminating: recall a significant phase of your life and you may find that a major transit was unfolding at exactly that time. \nLike all our AstroDharma work\, this weekend is especially valuable for community. When we understand what one another is moving through\, we can respond with more patience and skill\, and support each other through these passages rather than taking them personally. \nThe weekend also leads into Written in the Stars\, Manifested in the Body (November 7–28\, 2027)\, the online course where Catherine Sensei explores how our charts show up in the body. We recommend considering them together. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What You’ll Discover:\nIn this course\, we’ll explore transits from multiple angles: what they portray astronomically and astrologically\, how they show up in our lives\, and specifically how they’re showing up for you. \nYou’ll learn:\n\nWhat transits are\, and which ones matter most for spiritual growth\nHow to find the transits active in your own chart right now\nThe major passages of a lifetime\, such as Saturn returns\, the Chiron return and the Uranus opposition\, and what each asks of us\nHow to look back at turning points in your life and recognize the transits behind them\nHow to work with a difficult transit as a teaching rather than an obstacle\nHow to map transits for yourself\, and support others through theirs\n\nFor in-person participants: You’ll experience somatic AstroDharma mandalas (somatic constellations)  to explore transits through your body. These are visceral\, compelling experiences that bring the teachings alive in a whole new way. Lucky us! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Why AstroDharma Works\nFor spiritual seekers looking to grow\, this unique combination of Buddhism and Transpersonal Astrology speeds us up on our spiritual path. \nMany of us in the West are raised to celebrate the individual self—to find our unique path and explore why we’re here on this planet. Yet Buddhist Dharma leaps over personalization by teaching that there is no inherent self\, and that we must realize this to find spiritual awakening. \nFor many of us\, that’s a big leap. \nOn the way\, we may miss valuable lessons about how to compassionately show up in the world as unique individuals. AstroDharma bridges these two systems. Transpersonal Western astrology reveals individual patterns and influences—we get a window into the energies\, the pushes and pulls of the psyche. Dharma expands the view beyond self\, into a path of service to community\, for the benefit of all beings. \nOver time\, with growing confidence and awareness\, we can transcend our natal charts and awaken. But first\, we work with what we’ve got. \nWe initially pursued AstroDharma because Namgyal Rinpoche also taught astrology. We’ve found it to be an effective tool for helping us explore our patterns. It’s unique for each person\, and AstroDharma helps us unpack that uniqueness so you can use it better for yourself and for others. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What to Bring\nWe really encourage you to be here in person if possible: you’ll get the most out of the somatic constellation work and the energy of practicing in community. But we also support online participants with high-quality streaming and interactive classes. \nCome prepared with: \n\nYour astrological chart and a transits chart (instructions provided upon registration) \nAn open mind and questions that matter to you\, including the turning points you’d like to understand\n\nThis is a weekend to clear your schedule and focus. Bring your curiosity. Bring the passage you’re in right now. Bring your willingness to understand what this moment is asking of you. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Meet the Teacher\n \n \n \n \n \n Catherine Pawasarat Sensei \nCatherine Pawasarat Sensei is a contemporary Dharma teacher and co-founder of Clear Sky Retreat Center. She has developed AstroDharma as a tool for transformation\, synthesizing Buddhist teachings on spiritual awakening with transpersonal Western astrology based on the teachings of Carl Jung. \nShe trained daily with Acariya Doug Duncan from 1998 until his passing in 2024 in an intensive spiritual apprenticeship that is rare in the modern West\, and received lay ordination from Namgyal Rinpoche in 2003. \nSince the early 2000s\, Catherine has provided dharma training and taught the  path of awakening to hundreds of students. In addition to Buddhist philosophy and its applications to daily life\, she draws on generative living\, transpersonal astrology\, and Japanese arts. Catherine comes from a lineage of spiritual awakening that values the best of Eastern and Western philosophy—an ideal training for Westerners and an evolution of traditional teachings for the modern seeker. \nMore About Sensei | About the Lineage \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n An Episode from our Podcast: On the North and South Nodes\, Chiron and Saturn\nIn this AstroDharma podcast episode\, Catherine Pawasarat Sensei and Doug ‘Qapel’ Duncan explore parts of our natal charts that are particularly connected to spiritual and personal transformation\, including Chiron\, Saturn\, and North and South Nodes. They explain how these lenses can help us get unstuck\, transform challenges into tools\, and take things in our lives less personally. Please register early. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About DānaAbout the Online Admin Fee\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n You may have come across this elsewhere in the form of “pay from the heart.” Dāna is a Sanskrit term meaning “generosity.” With dāna\, we give as a mutual exchange of generosity. It’s our joy to offer this course\, and we trust you’ll match our time\, energy\, and passion by giving an amount of money that feels good and healthy to both you and us. \nThe Dharma has been built on generosity. No-one is excluded for lack of funds but it is also extremely beneficial to give as much as you are able. \nTypically people give in a range of $120-$500 USD for a course. \nThe admin fee* goes to support the infrastructure and organization necessary to support them to teach. As anyone with an online business will know\, it can be surprising the costs of setting up a good infrastructure to support effective teaching and connection online. The admin fee changes based on date of registration. \n*We also do not wish to exclude anyone from the Teachings\, so if you are not currently in a financial position to afford the admin fee\, please contact the course Registrar via registrar@planetdharma.com so we can support you to attend. Understand how to read your own astrological birth chart.\n2. Harness and develop its positive elements wisely.\n3. Recognize and overcome elements that may be out-of-balance.\n4. Use this knowledge to redirect your energy into more effective patterns of living.\n5. Her partner Doug Duncan Sensei and their teacher Namgyal Rinpoche excel in teaching both methods. No astrology experience is needed \nYou’ll need your natal chart (instructions provided upon registration)\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Why This Matters Now \n\nEach of us has a particular way of being in a body. Some of us live mostly from the neck up. Some push through tiredness as a matter of course\, and some carry tension in the same place year after year. Most of us take our own way of being embodied as simply how bodies are. \nAstroDharma suggests there’s more to see. The patterns of energy your natal chart describes show up in the psyche\, and they show up in the body too: in how you inhabit it by default\, and in how you relate to it day to day. Seeing those patterns clearly is the first step. The second is choosing how to work with them. \nOver a full month\, Catherine Sensei will guide us through what to look at in the chart when it comes to the body\, how we may be experiencing our physical selves by default\, and how to use AstroDharma to shape a more conscious relationship with the body in the physical world. You’ll leave with a working sense of how your chart lives in your body\, and practices to keep that relationship growing. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Who This Is For\n\nYou’ve explored your natal chart and want to bring it out of your head and into lived\, physical experience\nYou took The Body as Foundation or The Somatic Line in 2027 and want to complete the year’s arc\nYou joined AstroDharma: Navigating Transits in September 2027 and want to keep going\nYou notice patterns in how you treat your body (pushing\, neglecting\, overriding) and suspect they have deeper roots\nYou’re part of a sangha and want to understand one another’s embodied patterns\, not only psychological ones\nYou have the bandwidth this season for a month of practice that happens in daily life as much as in class\n\n  \nWhat You’ll Practice / Learn / Discover\nReading the body in your chart. Learn what to look at in your natal chart when it comes to the body and physical life. \nYour default embodiment. Explore how you may be experiencing your body by default\, including the patterns you’ve always taken as “just the way I am.” \nFrom description to practice. Use AstroDharma not only to describe your patterns but to work with them\, through practices that shape how you relate to your body in the physical world. \nTime to integrate. Spread over a month\, the course gives the material time to move from insight into daily life\, with practices between classes and a flash retreat to bring it together. \nMapping for one another. Build the facility to read these patterns in other people’s charts too\, so that we can understand and support one another. \n  \nWhat’s Expected of Me\nThis course asks for some preparation and some practice. Please have your natal chart ready before the first class; instructions come with registration. Between classes\, you’ll receive practices to try in daily life. There’s no fixed time requirement\, and the care you bring to them will shape what this course becomes for you. \nAstroDharma can be fascinating enough to keep us up in our heads\, so expect Catherine Sensei to keep bringing the group back to direct experience in the body. That pull toward analysis is a habit we all share\, and noticing it together is part of the work. \nClasses include breakout discussions. We invite you to bring your presence and support to one another\, so we can co-create a grounded space where everyone can stretch and grow. \nIf this season of life calls for something lighter\, the Intro to AstroDharma self-study course is a lovely place to start. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Meet the Teacher\n \n \n \n \n \n Catherine Pawasarat Sensei is a contemporary Dharma teacher\, attendant\, consort\, co-teacher via Planet Dharma and co-founder of Clear Sky Retreat Center. \nShe has developed AstroDharma as a tool for transformation\, synthesizing Buddhist teachings on spiritual awakening with transpersonal Western astrology based on the teachings of Carl Jung.  \nMore About Sensei | About the Lineage \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n The Teaching in Context \nWritten in the Stars\, Manifested in the Body is the third and final online course of Planet Dharma’s 2027 Year of Embodiment. Catherine Sensei sees the year’s three courses as flags planted in the ground. The Body as Foundation (February) began with Namgyal Rinpoche’s Body\, Speech and Mind. The Somatic Line (August) brought in the Integral perspective Qapel encouraged us to explore. This course adds AstroDharma\, which Catherine Sensei is bringing in more and more because of how much understanding it opens up about the patterns we live with. \nIt follows AstroDharma: Navigating Transits (September 24–26\, 2027). That weekend looks at what is moving through your chart now; this course looks at how your chart lives in your body. Each course also stands on its own. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nCourse Schedule\nNovember 7 – 28\, 2027\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Class Times (Mountain Time)\n\nSunday November 7 – 9:30am – 11am\nSunday November 14  – 9:30am – 11am\n Sunday November 21  – 9:30am – 11am\n\nThe formal\, live teachings for this course will occur on Sundays. There may also be a class to introduce the weekend on Friday\, February 26th at 7pm MT. \nWhat Does the Course Cost?\nThis course is offered based on the unique combination of: \n\ndāna\, and\na $80-120 USD administrative fee:\n\nRegister by October 10 $80 USD\nRegister by October 24 $100 USD\nOctober 25 to November 7 $120 USD\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n About DānaAbout the Online Admin Fee\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n You may have come across this elsewhere in the form of “pay from the heart.” Dāna is a Sanskrit term meaning “generosity.” With dāna\, we give as a mutual exchange of generosity. It’s our joy to offer this course\, and we trust you’ll match our time\, energy\, and passion by giving an amount of money that feels good and healthy to both you and us. \nThe dharma has been built on generosity. No one is excluded for lack of funds. However\, it is also extremely beneficial to give as much as you are able. \nTypically people give in a range of $120-$500 USD for a course. \nAs we’re committed to ensuring everyone has access to the Dharma\, please feel comfortable to give less if you are not financially secure. Another form of giving dāna is to offer service\, and if you are interested in providing support in a non-financial way\, we invite you to contact us. \nIf you are financially secure\, we invite you to generate merit by providing more financial support to the Triple Gem. Contributions like these make the difference in supporting our teachers\, teachings\, and center. \nWe're delighted to share that we created a short online course so that you can learn more about the practice of dāna here. \n \n \n \n \n \n In a traditional model of in-person teachings\, a retreat center or urban meditation center invites teachers to visit. \nThe admin fee* goes to support the infrastructure and organization necessary to support them to teach. As anyone with an online business will know\, the costs of setting up good infrastructure to support effective teaching and connection online can be surprising. \nOur admin fee changes based on the date of registration. \nRegister four + weeks prior: $80 Register two to four weeks prior: $100Register less than two weeks prior: $120 \n*We also do not wish to exclude anyone from the Teachings\, so if you are not currently in a financial position to afford the admin fee\, please contact the course Registrar via registrar@planetdharma.com so we can support you to attend. \n--- \nBelow are a few of the work and benefits that your admin fee payment is supporting: \n\nHigh speed internet (to allow interviews and classes on-line)\nOnline class systems (Zoom)\nRegistration / admin systems (Eventbrite\, Basecamp)\nCommunication systems to keep everyone informed\, share connection details\, teachings and other resources (Mailchimp)\nOnline storage (for example\, Dropbox\, to allow us to let students watch recordings\, and to store and share selected teachings in other forms such as podcasts and video later\, and Amazon cloud)\nQuality sound\, video and editing equipment (both for live teachings and to provide good enough quality for later sharing as podcasts and video). \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Flash Retreat in community: students at Clear Sky Centre and online\, learning together. \n \n Registration (Coming Soon)\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n FAQs\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n I’m new to astrology.
