About the Six Yogas of Naropa
The Six Yogas of Naropa are one of the central practices of the Tibetan Kargyu lineage, to which we belong. It is essentially a path to freedom through the development of deep understanding into the way things and formations arise and pass away.
These teachings are grounded in the deep understanding of the fundamental principles and practices of Tantra. To do this work, you must leave behind all partial views and develop a complete “viewing.”
By studying the energy channels of the body, the bindhus (hormones), and the overall functioning of the energy systems, the Diamond Body emerges. The Diamond Body is a radiant energy body that is no longer subject to the blocks and malformations that are the natural result of conditioned patterns.
The radiant result is kundalini energy, which burns up the amassed undergrowth of our unwholesome patterns, resulting in the natural liberation of energy, loving kindness and compassion.
During these two weeks, we will be focusing on the first two Yogas of Naropa: dumo heat yoga and illusory body yoga. The remaining yogas will be topics for retreats at the end of 2018 and 2019.
There will also be a Demchog empowerment during this retreat.
Spaces on this retreat are limited and filling up quickly, so please register early.
